Ris

Instructor

Ris has been dancing since she was 3 years old starting with jazz, tap, and ballet. Her energetic personality led her to a competitive team for 6 years and eventually a captain position on her highschool dance team. She then followed her dream to college where she got a bachelors degree in performance and choreography, training intensively in modern and ballet. During this time she worked with the Universal Dance Association, traveling all over the southeast teaching hip hop, lyrical, Pom, and jazz. She even got to perform in the Macy’s thanksgiving day parade with her teammates from college.

Ris’s Arthur Murray journey began shortly after that in Grapevine, Texas. Almost 3 years later she transferred to Arthur Murray Clearwater in hopes to continue the joy of ballroom dancing. The most rewarding part of teaching at AMCW has been spreading the passion she has always had and using her experiences to help people see the fulfillment that dance can bring them.
